Ocala Instruments introduces the Excavision System |
Last October Ocala Instruments introduced their Excavision grade control system for excavators.
The system is based on the existing Ocala Instruments’ excavator depth monitoring system, which has been around for almost three decades. The unit then was not nearly as accurate as today but the functions were remarkably similar to the present ones. It had a “Zero on bucket” feature as well as an alarm when the bottom was reached. Today’s unit is wireless, making it very easy to install and operate.
The greatest improvement is the display. It not only shows the present depth of the bucket but also the bottom, which can flat or sloping. All settings are done on the touch screen. The system can be installed in less than one hour and can be moved from one excavator or backhoe to another in 5 minutes. The first system was delivered to Seevers Farm Drainage in Argenta, IL.
The system promises to revolutionize excavator and backhoe productivity. |
